song lyrics : i shall be released

they say everything can be replaced
they say every distance is not near
so i remember every face
of every man who put me here

i see my light come shining
from the west down to the east
any day now, any day now
i shall be released

they say every man needs protection
they say every man must fall
so i swear i see my reflection
somewhere inside these walls

i see my light come shining
from the west unto the east
any day now, any day now
i shall be released

yonder stands a man in this lonely crowd
man who swears he's not to blame
all day long i hear him hollering so loud
just crying out that he's not to blame

i see my light come shining
from the west down to the east
any day now, any day now
i shall be released

sometimes other people's words can speak for you as well as your own.

soon.

  1. I love Nina Simone. Honestly nothing is better than listening to her sing on one of those days when it rains so hard you cant see any sunlight.

  2. I'm listening to her version of See-Line Woman right now. It's amazing how much her voice and her tone has influenced what I feel creatively. I heard Four Women and images popped into my head. I had to draw them. She's awesome!
